In a world that often tries to mold and shape us, we must celebrate and cherish the unique identities with which our children are born. Today, we share a beautiful poem that encourages us all to let children embrace and flourish in the authenticity of their true selves.
Children are born with their own set of talents, dreams, and passions. Our privilege and responsibility as parents, caregivers, and mentors is to support and nourish these innate qualities. This poem reminds us of the importance of fostering an environment where children feel free to be themselves and are accepted and loved unconditionally.
It calls upon us to celebrate their individuality, to listen to their voices, and to honor their choices. Doing so empowers them to grow into confident, resilient, and compassionate individuals who will positively impact the world.
As you read this poem, may it serve as a gentle reminder of the beauty in each child’s uniqueness. Let us pledge to provide the nurturing space where they can truly thrive in the identities they are born with. Thank you for being so committed to allowing our children to be their authentic selves.
Let Children Be Children..
I am born female,
You are born male
I am a girl
You are a boy
Let children be children
I love climbing trees, fencing, and playing with Bricks.
I am more comfortable in jeans, I don’t like showing my curves, I love my baggy shirts.
I love a challenge; I’d be the last to show my emotions by crying.
I am a girl. Let children be children.
I love to cook!. I love Barbie movies, fashion, and varied hairstyles.
I love pink!. A shirt with collars is not for me. Tucking in looks makes me feel like I am in a straight jacket!
I love a big hug, I cry when I watch movies, and I love to be pampered all day.
I am a boy. Let children be children.
Could this be where the confusion began?
Observing children’s preferences?
Attributing certain behaviours to a particular Gender?
And then Boom!. He loves pink, and he loves Barbie….could He be meant to be She?
Maybe there was an error with gender allocation in the Baby factory?
Let children be children.
Humans should be given the liberty to decide.
Pink should be for girls, and Lego should be for boys.
Boys should study engineering and never be caught crying.
Girls should learn to cook, look pretty, and care for the home.
For the applause, awards, and visibility, I have succeeded in sowing a seed in the minds of all.
Nature made an error in making you a boy and a girl.
I am one of the few distorted and confused voices here to correct Nature’s wrong.
Mother Nature is exhausted with all the arguments, the decisions in parliament, the trials, the errors, the pain, and loss….and sadly, NO Gains but the continued spreading of lies and confusion.
Let children be children!!!
This is my cry. Let it lead to an outcry
Let children be children.
Let them grow as they were born and explore life’s many opportunities.
Let children be children.
God made them Male and Female.
God does not make mistakes.
Let Children Be Children!!
Yes God doesn’t make mistakes…mother nature doesn’t make mistakes…let children be indeed children..let’s stop selling to their little minds our dirty ideas…let them grow and be who God created them to be…Lovely Poem big sis..l love❤️
Thanks for your lovely comments dear🤗
iWow, nice one. Indeed let children be children. They are made and wired differently by God and that’s what makes every child different and unique. Parents, mentors ,caregivers etc please guide them aright to the fulfilment of God’s plan for their lives. Issy baby, good job!
Thank you Aunty. We are all wired differently, just the way God intended.
My son loves pink and love to play with Barbie with his sister. He knows he is boy and has been telling me about marrying a beautiful girl someday and they will both have lovely babies. So yes, let boys be boys and girls be girls.
I was called a Tom boy growing up because I rolled tyres, climbed trees and hated dresses…but I never for one day thought I was in the wrong body!. I loved every bit of my childhood and love being a woman…
Beautiful! Indeed God makes no mistakes. Children should be allow to experiment and find themselves within the boundaries of who God has called them to be.
Thanks Nne..Our God is very intentional about all of us and makes no mistakes
What a beautiful poem. Our God does not make mistakes. Our children are unique and special just the way they are. Our job as parents is to bring them up in the fear of God and not box them to fit society standards.
Thanks for your comment love!. every child is special and unique just the way they are..
